Grant discovered that writing his own story helped him to put life events into perspective, accept them for what they were, and discover a path to move forward. The result was the creation of “Mental As Anything”, an autobiographical account of his life and struggles with poor mental health, which will be available for purchase from the Integrity Media Ltd website on World Book day, 3rd March 2022.
Through writing his own story, Grant discovered that it helped him to put life events into perspective, rationalise them and move forward. From this, Grant had created 'Mental as Anything', which delves into his battle with his mental health. This will be available HERE on 3rd March 2022.
Integrity Media has taken their initiative a step further, by launching two short story competitions. One will be for those who are 16-18, and the other for those who are 19-24.
Grant says, "through publishing these stories, we aim to create a wider understanding and awareness of the actions, causes and consequences of poor societal mental health, with a hope that we can help start to shift the needle in a more positive direction.”
To submit a short story simply email your entry with a completed application form to ssc@integrity-media.co.uk.
